Conflict continues to affect children, families and communities across Myanmar. Nearly four years in, millions of people have been displaced from their homes and villages, fleeing violence, in search of a safe place to live.

During times of conflict, accessing even the most basic necessities – like food, shelter and healthcare - can become a challenge. Most concerningly, for many communities, clean water has become a rarity.

Water is life-giving, it is required by each and every one of us to thrive. This is why the Church in Myanmar is working to provide a solution to this problem. Bishop Noel Saw Naw Aye, from the Archdiocese of Yangon, plans to install water purifying systems in nine locations, giving over 1,500 children and families access to clean water for drinking, cleaning and sanitation.

Your gift this Christmas can help make a lasting impact during this time of most need in Myanmar.

Bishop Noel explains of the impact this project can have:

I am reminded of Matthew 25:35, ‘I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink’. Not only are we here in Myanmar providing physical water, but through our actions, providing spiritual water, showing the love of God through our work.”

Every drop counts. Every gift makes a difference.
